Enrique Iglesias en Santana hebben afgelopen maandag meegezongen in de nieuwe versie van 'We Are The World'. Het zijn de enige Spaanstalige artiesten die in de groep van 81 mensen aanwezig waren. Andere bekende artiesten waren onder andere Usher, Celine Dion en Lil Wayne. Michael Jackson's voormalige producer Quincy Jones had samen met Lionel Richi de leiding in het project. De eerste versie In 1985 werd de eerste versie van 'We Are The World' opgenomen. Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Lionel Richie en Michael Omartian hebben toen de groep met grote artiesten samengesteld. Hier waren onder andere Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Ray Charles en Diana Ross bij aanwezig. Het nummer stond destijds in elk land op nummer 1.
